Description
VINTAGE 1960's FLINTLOCK PISTOL SHAPED CIGARETTE LIGHTER ~ 8" LONG MADE IN JAPANThis Flintlock Lighter dates from the 1960's and has the word "Japan" in very small type on the trigger. This interesting pistol shaped lighter has a Japanese patent # 204961 and was made by a company, loosely translated into English, as "DoLine". It's constructed completely of metal with a chrome plating on the barrel and stock. At the end of the barrel there is a screw which unscrews so lighter fuel can be poured in. The wick is where the hammer would strike the firing pin. The movement of the hammer, when the trigger is pressed, creates a spark from the flint. This lighter is heavy and realistic. It's approx. 8 inches long and weighs just over 10 ounces. On the screw that fits at the end of the barrel (where the lighter is filled with fluid) is the Japanese patent number (# 204961)
. The lighter requires fuel, a wick and a new flint. Although everything seems to be working mechanically, the lighter has not been tested and I cannot be 100% positive that it is in working order. Nice old conversation piece. Please view images of actual item and ask questions.
